Find your repeatable market

Go-to-market strategy for early-stage founders selling technical products to technical buyers in domains like cybersecurity and AI.

What I Do

I work collaboratively with my clients to ensure their go-to-market sits on a strong foundation with focus and alignment.

"

“It is exceedingly rare to find someone who can take a highly complex technical product and translate it into a scalable revenue engine. Matt is the GTM OS architect you call when startups are struggling. He cuts through early-stage chaos with calm, operational focus.”
Christopher Ryan, President, SIX Marketing

Who I work with

I typically work with founders who've built a technical product for a technical audience and are trying to take the next step. Common scenarios:

The founder is still doing all the selling and wants to hand off or share sales

Deals close, but there's no repeatable process - every deal is a snowflake

The pitch gets rebuilt for every conversation; there's no story the team can tell the same way twice

They win the technical champion but stall with the person who controls the budget

They can solve a lot of problems, so every call and every deal is unique

The founder is worried about a go-to-market team member

These are usually go-to-market problems - not a sales problem, or a marketing problem, or a product problem, but all of them, connected. The goal is to nail down the fundamentals, get the strategy lined up, and then get the team aligned so you can scale.

What you will get

Each engagement is different - but they all result in actionable plans, contents and established programs to ensure you can get immediate value.

A scored ICP that goes beyond industry-revenue-segment and into real signal

Positioning and messaging for your sharpest wedge, in the language your buyers actually use

A prioritized target account list - who to go after, in what order, and why

A clear go-to-market motion - how you'll reach and win those buyers

An operating rhythm - written down, repeatable, and built to run without me in the room

Social and content engines to drive your expertise and authority to market

About Matt

For more than 25 years, I led marketing and go-to-market at successful, venture-backed technology companies including Pindrop, Dell SecureWorks, CipherTrust, and Query - in cybersecurity, identity, privacy, and AI infrastructure. I was often the first marketer in the door, building the entire function and team. I've been the builder and the fixer, and I've made enough of the mistakes myself to help you skip a few.

I'm now a go-to-market advisor and fractional leader, working with early-stage founders to connect technical solutions to technical buyers.
